Surround sound has gained interest in recent years because of the advent of HD Television, sound for film, and DVD production. The Conservatory’s D Rooms introduce you to this unique arena of audio with a state-of-the-art production environment revolving around Pro Tools HD and the Digidesign C|24 Control Surface. The Pro Tools TDM system featured in each room has nearly 100% penetration industry-wide and is considered the number one Digital Audio Workstation.

For monitoring, both rooms boast a 5.1 M&K speaker system–a great-sounding rig that is widely used by such studios as Skywalker Sound and Chace Productions. At the video end, everything is impressively displayed by our large Stewart perforated screen and twin flat panel video displays for a vibrant multi-media experience.
