When Digidesign began development of Pro Tools in the early 1990s, few believed that a software-based system could gain a foothold in the world of analog hardware recorders and mixers. However, you’d never know it by looking at any major recording studio, post house or live sound venue today. Pro Tools is king in the industry and is used throughout the world for the production of motion picture audio, live recording, sound tracks, CDs and any other audio application you can think of.
The Conservatory was the first audio school to be an Avid Pro Tools training center, offering classes as early as 1993 . Classes are taught by certified instructors. There are only two students per workstation, ensuring maximum hands-on experience with our TDM systems. Between our Laptop program, rolling rigs, classroom systems and labs, we now have over 500 Pro Tools systems on campus.
