Overview:
Music production is rarely a one-man show. In reality, what transformsa musical idea into a masterpiece is the collaboration of composers, musicians,producers and engineers. Due to the current fragmented state of production which lacksa standard base of operations, operators and gear, the process can get bogged down intechnical glitches and incompatibilities. Where do you begin when you want to move anidea outside of the box in which it was initially created? This class will help you understand the technical considerations in moving a project between people, placesand programs by watching a song go from an idea, into the studio and onto the stage.

Brock is a veteran teacher that has headed the digital recording department atthe Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences since 1992. In 2009 he was awarded the honor of becoming an Apple Distinguished Educator. He is also acontracted Logic Pro trainer with Apple Inc. and in that capacity has travelled the world training other instructors, resellers and end users. He has alsowritten and provided the voice for Apple online video tutorials. Brock is a contributor to Mix magazine and has served as co-author, contributing writer and technical editor for the Logic and Soundtrack Pro books in the Apple Pro Training Seriespublished by Peachpit Press.
