The Conservatory places great emphasis on our relationships with the audio community at large. The reasons for this are twofold; First, it gives us feedback on what's going on in the industry so our directors and instructors can reflect the latest developments in the classroom. Secondly, it gives our students a chance to see firsthand what it takes to be an audio professional and affords them the opportunity to network with those practicing what they wish to accomplish. For this reason, we invite a wide variety of audio professionals to lecture onsite. Our roster of guests have ranged from manufacturers, engineers, studio managers, live sound professionals, educators and more.
Thank you for having us out to speak at your new facility. Gary Baldassari and I very much enjoyed speaking to the students about the benefits of using DPA microphones.
I thought your staff showed keenness and enthusiasm, which were obviously reflected by the students. The fact that we were able to hold their attention for a long after lunch session speaks highly of their motivation. They seemed most thoughtful about their reasons for wanting to be in the front line of creativity of our industry and I'm sure all this stems from your perspective.
I want to congratulate you on the opening of your new satellite facility. I really enjoyed coming out and talking to the students and exposing them to AEA ribbon microphones.
