The film Burlesque took away two Grammy nominations for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media and Best Song Written for Visual Media. Justin Bieber is up for a Grammy this year for Best Song Written For Visual Media. CRAS grad Chris Kraus worked on three records with the Biebs including Never Say Never, My World 2.0 and My World. He’s also worked on MIMS Guilt, Akon Freedom, Pastor Troy Stay Tru, Bobby V Fly On The Wall and more.

CRAS grad Erik Jahner worked with gospel artist Brandon Heath who was nominated for the Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance Grammy. Erik has worked with India.Airie Testimony: Vol. 1, Live & Relationship, Cyminology Bemun, Chris Tomlin And If Our God Is For Us, Jesse McCartney Right Where You Want Me and more.

Blake Shelton was nominated for Best Country Solo Performance and CRAS grad Aaron Kasdorf helped make the record. Aaron has worked on records for Bon Jovi Tour Box Miley Cyrus Can’t Be Tamed, Carrie Underwood Play On, Kenny Chesney Lucky Old Sun, Reba McEntire Reba Duets and more.

CRAS grads Sara Killion, AJ Clark and Jeremy Miller worked with Paul Epworth who is nominated for the Producer of the Year. Epworth is an award-winning British music producer, musician, and songwriter who’s production credits include Adele, Cee Lo Green, Florence and the Machine, Plan B, Friendly Fires, Foster The People, Bloc Party, Primal Scream, The Rapture, Jack Peñate, Kate Nash and Maxïmo Park.

Mandisa’s What If We Were Real is up for the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album Grammy and CRAS grad Taylor Stevens worked on the record as Assistant Engineer. Taylor has worked as a programmer, sequencer, keyboardist and assistant engineer for Blake Shelton Red River Blue, Jonny Diaz Jonny Diaz, New Song One True God, Rachel Lampa All We Need and more.

Katy Perry is up for Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year Grammys and CRAS grads Andrew Wuepper and Justin Roberts worked on the record. Andrew has engineered for Jennifer Lopez Love?, Mary J. Blige My Life II, Justin Bieber My World 2.0, Kelly Rowland Here I Am, Christina Aguilera Bionic and more. Justin Roberts has worked with Katy Perry Teenage Dream, Mariah Carey Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and Smokey’s Farmland Band 80 Mile Getaway.

Kanye West earned four Grammy nominations this year for Best Rap Album, Best RapSong, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Song of the Year. CRAS grad Christian Mochizuki worked with Kanye on his Grammy nominated album and has also assisted and engineered for Kid Cudi, Kanye West, Justin Bieber and Jay-Z.
